LuluwansDon’t Support BulliesSusie Meister was a mean, bullying, tormentor, who Played a Game on Inferno 3, with Collie and Cara called, “I hate Tonya because….” And they would take turns saying the cruelest reasons why they HÀTE Tonya. Don’t support this evil mean girl who enjoyed bullying.
-
ManicKittensJesus…..You started to lose me with your BetterHelp advertising, particularly with Sarah being a therapist and being obviously willfully ignorant to how exploitative BetterHelp is. Susie’s ramble today about “how lucky” we are to live in America and “how scary” this is to “both sides” WITHOUT acknowledging trump’s openly fascist promises if he is elected is HUGELY troubling. I won’t be able to listen anymore.

Jenicate01Made for MeListening to two funny, intelligent, and witty women who are my age and are interested in and care about the same things that I do is like going to coffee with my favorite friends once a week. I look forward to new episodes every week. Love you ladies!
-
mloganwLong time listener, first time reviewerI’ve been listening to this podcast for years now. It’s one of two podcasts that I really look forward to every week. Today was a bit of a rough day and I was feeling really down. Until I heard that Sarah is a homeowner!!! I was sitting in my car and I started cheering and clapping. It truly brought a big smile to my face. Keep it up gals! I adore you both! Thanks for including me in all your fun banter. Michael

bosey47Love this pod!I can’t believe it’s been 800 episodes! 👏👏👏👏👏 I’ve been listening since day one and have loved every minute of learning and laughing with you guys. Thanks for all the good times, interesting talking points, and facts (fun or otherwise😄) you have given me. Keep doing what you’re doing and keep being your wonderful, authentic selves. 🫶

KataguThank youI love this podcast! Sarah and Susie I’m so happy you two humans crossed paths and remained friends, I’m currently in the 2017 archives, I can just listen for hours, I really enjoy every episode. It takes me back listening to your old podcasts. Thank you for bringing me joy. Sincerely K.S.

Stephcoco1114DisappointedI absolutely love you guys and want to be your BFf, I’m subscribed to Patreon, I’ve listened since day 1! I’ve been so disappointed lately with the interviews (although I did love Beth)! That being said, unless you get Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, ex challengers, Eli or Adam…please no more! I have to end as soon as the interview starts and I hate missing out hearing you and Sarah!
-
lulablondiesCase StudyI just found your podcast after finishing Rivals III. I then realized Sarah= amazing human. Sarah, Bananas was put into your life to be your Case Study! He will be your gauge for how not to act. WWBD? And do the opposite. ;) Love the podcast!
-
Niki Pau PauLike hanging out with your girlfriends!I love Suzy and Sarah! They are fun, smart, and relatable. Suzy’s adorable transitions into ads make the ads so much more tolerable (lol), and Sarah’s enthusiasm is contagious. These gals make you feel like you are hanging with your girlfriends when you listen, and they should be labeled as national treasures I say... TREASURES!

kellllooooooCame for the Challenge tea. Stayed for Brain Candy!LOVE THIS PODCAST! I originally started listening because I thought it would be a podcast giving behind the scenes info about The Challenge. Now I’m 738 episodes in and eagerly await the next episode to drop! I loved you both in the Challenge (even when you were being dicks!😂) and I love you even more now! Keep spreading the positivity and laughs!
-
court_janerExpect the UnexpectedYou tune in to hear two smart gals talk about fun facts, science, psychology, and pop culture and the next thing you know you’re in the Arnold Pump Club. By the end of the podcast I don’t always know how we got here but I’m always glad I came!
-
Tiffers JaneMy John Tesh!I was listening to my local, soft rock radio station the other day when it dawned on me - these two hookers are my John Tesh! And I love them for it! I know this is a niche reference so if you get it, you’re my people!

Conniegirl1169Been Years!!I’ve been listening to brain candy podcast for years now and I guess I should’ve done my five star review years ago too. I bring up things I’ve learned on the podcast all the time to my friends family and coworkers. Susie and Sara both keep me engaged, laughing and interested…. which in life having these things combined in one entertainment venue is rare.
-
big johnanBest podcast ever?!Is this the greatest podcast of all time? Do you like your brain and candy? Then this podcast is for you! Love learning all the facts and hanging out with these gals. I like to run a bath and just listen for hours.
-
LolasstrollasLove ya SusieI came for Sarah but stayed because of Susie. I could listen to Susie talk about anything. These gals are smart and interesting. Sarah is sometimes too much for me with the therapy talk and interrupting or talking over Susie. Overall 5 out of 5 though.
-
KarlagbIf You Love Your EardrumsDo not listen with AirPods or headphones. You never know when Sarah will have an outburst and scream or laugh super loud 😖. SAVE YOUR EARS
-
CajAgei’ll change this 1 star rating in a week buti’ll change this 1 star rating in a week back to a 5 star because i do love this podcast and the hosts but……. comments about taylor swift/tik tok showing evidence of her bisexuality came off as slightly homophobic and gaslighting to us gays (esp since the comments came from a white cis/straight identifier). Her lyrics are very sapphic and while i can agree that a lot of her fans on tik tok are crazy….. don’t erase lgbtqia+ storylines cuz there is a sapphic story there.
-
Rayne_92Love!I love this show and would give more than 5 stars if I could there will never ever be a time that I don’t give all the stars. LOVE THESE LADIES! But…. the sudden add of commercials in the beginning, randomly throughout, and at the end are not my jam. I’m not talking about Susie’s little add ins, I love those. But I’m listening with headphones at work (I’m a chef with lots of large knives) and then BAM! super loud commercials with no warning. That’s an AWH with those jump scares! I listen to tons of podcasts and I get it, ya gotta pay the bills and keep the lights on. All I’m saying is maybe take a commercial break or add some music before and after so I know exactly when to fast forward. Keep up the great work!
-
Davut SeveroKEEP THE WIND DOWNHi I love listening and have done all 700+ episodes - just wanted to throw in my vote for keeping the wind down. That one person who said it’s insulting probably doesn’t have adhd like Sarah and I and I’m sure a big majority of listeners and we need the wind down! Recaps are calming for our brains! I used to be a high school teacher and it’s a proven strategy to aid in memory. And I need help remembering so I can share all this braincandy with people! Also the compromise of warning people when it’s about to come is good! Just don’t take it away! ♥️
-
hammy2458love these hookers!been a fan of these ladies since the challenge (i was a young teenager when y’all were on) and always looked up to you two!! ugh just love everything y’all talk about and the respect you have for each other and that you DONT TAKE THINGS SO SERIOUSLY!!!!! bless up!
-
SeanD13selEli Eli EliLove the show, listened from the beginning, but boy oh boy has hearing the name Eli made me feel like nails on a chalk board. Susie talks about Adam an appropriate amount but Sarah feels the need to mention and talk about Eli CONSTANTLY, drives me crazy.
-
orangevoObsessedI really love this podcast. I heard about it long ago and only just started listening recently. I’ve been binging all the old episodes while working in my woodshop and it’s so feel-good and interesting. Also, I’m a Denver 30s-something girly who spends as much time as possible in the wilderness so if I see Sarah about town I’m definitely going to try to become besties. 🤗❤️

Walle777709743Absolutely the Best PodcastI enjoy listening to these ladies SO MUCH ! They truly make you feel like family. I don’t have any women left on this side of earth sadly, so these are my only sisters left. They understand EVERYTHING as a female in these days & times. I just want to say thank you to Susie & Sarah so much for everything you all do on these podcasts & making me feel like family, thank you !
-
ninaerikaSmart girl landI love Susie, she’s Witty, honest and easy to listen to even when I don’t agree with her, which is often being a conservative. It’s well rounded and refreshingly honest and yet meek. I like when she gives a well rounded debate without being bias or attention seeking. I like how the conversation is a little more constructed and yet still open for bunny trails. It’s takes a second to get invested, especially if you don’t watch the shows they were on but in the long run Brain Candy is podcast staple for me.. The longer I listen the more I like it. I just started listening so I have lots to catch up on and on a personal note it’s been nice for for because I recently lost both of my parents and I’m dealing with an enormous amount of grief, I have found brain candy as a friend there when the silence is too much. I put my head phones on and do my daily duties and take y’all with me. Please know you’ve really become a place a familiarity and comfort for me. I also have studied religion and physiology so I really connect with both of you on a lot of levels, including pop culture. So much love from nina instagram (texas_nina)

HelloGlamazonI’ve found my people. If you aren’t listening to the brain candy podcast already…consider yourself lucky to be able to indulge in on absolute roller coaster ride. During our family leave w/ our new born I put my partner on to the challenge, and I ended up falling in love with Sarah & Susie all over again. While watching a horrid person said a remark about the podcast. I immediately searched for it & completely immersed myself in the brain candy culture…not only do they have tons of hilarious informative content, the ladies are brilliant, engaging, open, friendly & so warm. They bring facts, jokes, laughter, charisma and true emotion to everything they do. The conversation with these two flows so smoothly, that you can even catch yourself responding to them at times! I can say they have made this Puerto Rican chick from the Bronx a brainiac & a half. 🧠🍭 Ps: I like the wind down!
-
Birdk92Love these two!And the interview with the big foot guy was so charming! Susie is a great interviewer 😊
-
2 Weeks Nicotine FreeI don’t agree with Susie about RoaseanneHey! I love the podcast, and I always look forward to the episodes. I can here to say that I disagree about Susie’s opinion of Roseanne being fired. As a POC, I will obviously have a stronger opinion than Susie. However, shouldn’t POC’s opinion matter most here? Anyway, I feel like when you’re trying to correct racism where the country was built on the backs of POC, sometimes you have to overcorrect. Once overcorrection is done enough times, people will begin to change their behavior. Then, I think it would be appropriate to choose a more equal punishment to fit the crime, as Susie said.
-
BobBucketsRoad Rules/Real World/Challenge Fan… turned ultimate Brain Candy Brainiac. I seriously look forward to hearing from you gals on the regular. Thank you for the work you put into your episodes and Sarah, I’ll gladly listen to your facts any time of day. Even before 11 am. Lol Keep doing what you’re doing, Hookers. I love it.

dunaway25ObsessedThe best podcast Ive ever listen to! Over the moon about the chemistry between the two of them. Always gives interesting new information without making it boring or redundant. Thank you so much Susie and Sarah for helping be through this dark time❤️

Felicia J&CI just LOVE y’all!I just love you two gals! I am a long time challenge fan (since the beginning 🫶🏻)… so I have been a fan of you gals for a very long time. With my husband being sick and my new role of caregiver, I have gotten in to listening to podcasts over the last year and I am obsessed! I listen to all new episodes and when I’m in between episodes, I go back to the beginning and have found to greatly enjoy myself! AND I catch myself sharing fun facts with friends that I’ve learned or getting stoked when y’all talk about a documentary I’ve watched.. it has just been so fun, uplifting and just great spending time with the two of you!
-
Lmisc68Love itThis is one of the few podcasts I listen to and the only one I listen to all the new episodes. I’ve recently moved overseas so all my friends are on the opposite schedule and sometimes I just want to talk to someone soUi turn on this podcast and get to feel like I’m one of the girlfriends. Thanks for always finding interesting topics and sharing your lives.
-
Allison75686Love these gals!I came for The Challenge, and stay for the brilliant, hilarious, thoughtful, authentic conversation from these two besties. This is the only podcast I’ve consistently listened to for 5+ years and always look forward to new episodes. I’m neurodivergent and listening to this show helps me in social situations because I have hilarious and interesting topics to talk about. Seriously do yourself a favor and start listening on the regs. Thank you Susie and Sarah for all you do! P.S. Sarah is in love! I adore hearing her talk about Eli because it’s so beautiful and genuine. ELI ELI ELI ELI ELI! Keep putting the love out into the world, Sarah. The haters can CAN IT!

Blaine#notallmenBrains and humor against the patriarchyThis is a great podcast, but don't take my word for it - let's ask ChatGPT: ME: tell me about the brain candy podcast CHATGPT: The Brain Candy Podcast is a popular podcast hosted by two friends, Sarah Rice and Susie Meister. The podcast focuses on exploring interesting and often off-beat topics in science, history, pop culture, and everyday life. Sarah and Susie are both former reality TV stars, with Sarah appearing on MTV's The Real World and Susie on MTV's The Challenge, but the podcast has little to do with their past TV experiences. The topics covered on the podcast are varied, but they often involve discussions about psychology, neuroscience, and human behavior. Sarah and Susie have tackled topics like the psychology of hoarding, the science of happiness, and the history of the Titanic. They also frequently discuss their own personal experiences and opinions on various topics, making the podcast feel like a casual and fun conversation between friends. One unique aspect of the Brain Candy Podcast is that it often features "listener mail" segments, where Sarah and Susie read and respond to questions and comments from their listeners. This allows the hosts to engage with their audience and create a sense of community around the podcast. Overall, the Brain Candy Podcast is a fun and informative show that offers a unique blend of pop culture and science. If you're interested in exploring a wide range of fascinating topics in a lighthearted and entertaining way, then this podcast may be right up your alley. ME: the brain candy podcast does not have a listener mail segment CHATGPT: I apologize for the error in my previous response. You are correct that the Brain Candy Podcast does not have a dedicated "listener mail" segment. Instead, Sarah and Susie often read and respond to listener comments and questions throughout the course of their discussions. The podcast's format typically involves Sarah and Susie discussing a variety of topics, often related to science, history, or pop culture. They offer their own insights and opinions, as well as interesting facts and anecdotes. The conversations are casual and often lighthearted, but also informative and engaging. The Brain Candy Podcast has gained a significant following due to its unique approach to exploring interesting topics, as well as the dynamic and entertaining personalities of its hosts.

Shirlzee43My favorite podcastThese two hookers have the best podcast around!! Love you both!! PS I love Sarah’s stutter and when she talks about Eli. It makes it feel more personal.
-
TylerJames1994Keep talking about Eli!As someone who has listened from the very beginning, I don’t understand why people are getting so annoyed when Sarah talks about Eli. Over the years we have listened as Sarah grew into her best self and now she has found someone that not only embraces that, but encourages it. You can hear the excitement and love they have for each other. It truly makes my heart so warm and I am so happy for both of them.
-
MetheMagnificentI love Sarah and Susie! This is my favorite podcast of all time! I’ve been listening for years and I just love all of the topics they cover. So many times, I’ve looked up more info about what they bring up, or read a book they recommended. But the best thing about it is how often I can bring up something discussed on the podcast when I’ve got social anxiety or I’m meeting new people. It never fails to get a good convo going! I’ll reference the podcast with my partner so often, that now it’s just ‘you know, my podcast’. Love their banter, and thoughtful commenting!
-
MangosplumsEpisode sum upsWhy are you summing up the episode that we just listened to? I know you’re trying to pad it out, but just let the episode be 3 minutes shorter. It’s insulting to the listener to hear that blatant low effort padding out. We don’t need a summary of what we just listened to. This sort of low effort makes me want to ditch the podcast.
-
sospuddlesnot neurodivergent or trans friendly for now..Mostly wanted to send a quick TW to trans and autistics pals doing trauma work (especially after behavioral therapy). Suzie must feel deeply unsafe speaking about oppressed groups she is not a part of, as she repeatedly forces the podcast into yikes territory. A tale as old as time. She GOES ON about the "new rules" created over "fake trauma", which are "forced" onto society by autistic and trans movements. It's an obvious bargaining attempt to reestablish a perceived loss of power at any desperate and insensitive cost. Listened through a few episodes, and it's a pattern. Came for Sarah (who handles these topics with tons of humor), but this was a major bummer.
-
Patty1234567Love but…I really love this show, it’s great to see public figures reflect on their past opinions but…the way they discuss cancel culture irks me. The implication is that this is a left wing invention is untrue, religious conservatives have been using this technique for centuries (aka shunning) and to name a few are the Red Scare, Ellen DeGeneres getting her 90s tv show cancelled for being a lesbian or the Dixie Chicks having their music pulled of the air for criticizing Bush and basically anything happening to trans people in the current legal system. Ultimately cancel culture doesn’t exist because it’s always existed. We are just allowing Fox News to use that term to frame the left as being intolerant. Of course, we absolutely can be but I think what the left strived for when creating that term was accountability culture and I get being in the midst of us figuring how that will play out as a society is really rough on current public figures but figuring out social change has been a rough go since civilization existed and all that has changed is technology! I know this is a long winded review and I am sorry!
