I wish you would have other lesser known funny comedians on like Sasha from "Community News with Paul and Sasha" podcast. She would be so great on your show.

Nikki and Sara are GREAT! They are hilarious comedians! Not only are they hysterical but they're also genuine and strangely reassuring in a "we're all in this together" kind of way. It's like my weekly therapy. THEY'RE AWESOME AND YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO THEM, OK?

I was so excited to see you were back, but your new format with no guests isn't so great. I really do love your show but I've always loved how you interact with your guests. You guys can only carry on your banter/compliments/ and useless information for so long before it gets boring. Took 5 minutes and a weird conversation about books and flowers before I tuned out... Sorry!

Hey ladies! Thanks for talking over Jim Gaffigan! I thought this was an episode about him not the hosts. Nonstop with these ladies. Every time Jim would say something, one of the ladies (have no idea who is who) would say, "when I was" "I did that" "that was me when"... Seriously?! Do u have any friends? Bcus I HATE chicks like this, turning ANY topic to make it their own. Wow. I thought they were doing a bit bcus it was so blatantly annoying.

Love this podcast! I love the chemistry these two have. They support one another and give each other space to talk. It's great to hear women being real and being so funny. The more you listen, the better you get to know them and they feel like old friends. I hope they continue to record for a long long time!

Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer are smart and funny, unfortunately, the podcast becoming questionable. Sara Schaefer keeps eating during the taping and I want to vomit.

I had to just stop listening to the first episode I tried as it featured a discussion of infections in private parts that the ladies refer to as "pee-holes". The only funny bit was one of them referring to herself as a role model for younger women. I listened to one more episode and again just could not finish. Did I mention boring? Also, lots of annoyingly mis-used words (please get a dictionary and use it). Not to mention the bad grammar.

I listen to many podcasts and this one is my favorite by far. Honest and funny with entertaining guests. Looking forward to the MTV show!

Recently heard Sara on Alison Rosen's Podcast. She was very funny and engaged in some honest 'feminine' discussions. Because of that, I decided to try (at least) four of episodes of 'You had to be there'. No disappointments whatsoever. I can't get enough of them. Keep cranking 'em out ladies!

I am absolutely addicted to this podcast. I don't generally enjoy podcasts, but this one is fantastic. It's like having hilarious company with me whenever I need it! Thank you Nikki and Sara!

I can't believe more people aren't talking about this podcast! It's hilarious and always entertaining. Give it a listen, you won't be sorry!!

I made it 15 minutes into one episode before I had to shut it off. The banter between the podcasters was fun enough and seemed like something I could get to enjoy. However, the speech was sometimes too faint and sometimes it was like the podcasters were excitedly screeching right in my ear. This was one of the older episodes, so I'll try one more time with a recent podcast and amend my review if I find it more enjoyable.

after listening to ARIYNBF's argument for always rating your podcasts 5 stars then commenting how you really feel I'm going back and doing just that cause hey its free what more could you ask for. But really the last 4 eps have been amazing. Hearing you guys in the nerdist recording room after listening to every one of your eps made me feel like we had made it. I know all I've done is listening for free but still great job. I gave the podcast 3stars after listening to the Scott Moran ep and you guys did not do that guy any favors by recording it after another recording and for talking about him so much Sarah he really would have had to come off like a comic genius for that ep to have shined. Love this podcast always listen and hope you appreciate the fact that you guys stream through earbuds right to our brains, its a very tight connection into our heads, I know its free but still we dedicate our time and brain space to your thoughts so in a way it comes at a cost to us kinda.

im not gonna lie: i first heard of this podcast while listening to another podcast nikki was on and initially i didn't like it. i thought the first episode was boring, but just gave it another episode. i am SO glad i did. these girls are HYSTERICAL. i normally listen to the podcast when i am at the gym, and it makes the time FLY by. i find myself starting my cardio - and extending it because i can't stop listening. there have actually been times when i almost fell off the machine from laughing too hard. THANK YOU for making it to 50 episodes, and i can't wait to hit 100 with you!

i love this show, so much. female, funny and literally a blessing from god. its honest and witty and reminds me of a funnier version of me and my friends when we get together. coming from a young, at times self conscious/self loathing female, it is so wonderful to know that there are funny women out there who were awkward and nerdy ( sometimes still are at times awkward and nerdy ) BUT STILL SO AWESOME. y'all rock. i love you forever

MTV has finally come to their senses and have green lighted the Nikki and Sara show! I've been listening to the podcast for months now and love every minute of it! I cannot wait to see them on tv! Congrats ladies!

I've been listening to this podcast for a while now and I am happy to say this show just keeps getting better. Nikki and Sara have a great relationship. They have great banter and are amazing at making their guest feel comfortable. Many times I have started laughing out loud at work while enjoying one of their crazy stories. These ladies are awesome!

Terrific. I look forward to hearing all of them.

I recommend this to anyone who loves funny! This is such a great podcast! I look forward to new ones each week and relisten to the old ones while I wait! Super AWESOME!

i love this podcast, but the only slight negative (but really a positive) is that Nikki and Sara are generally more entertaining than their guests. There are a few episodes where the guest does not seem to want to engage or is just not very funny, but that can be said for most podcasts. The difference with "You Had to Be There" is that Nikki and Sara always manage to save the conversation, or at least prevent it from being too painful/awkward. I think the episodes with female guests are usually better, but with very notable exceptions: Gary Gulman (probably my favorite), Paul F. Tompkins, Tom Shillue, and Chris Gethard. Sooo in closing, I'm rambling, and this a great podcast.

All around awesome. I was referred this podcast by a friend at work and have managed to fit this into my packed podcast schedule. Hilarious and very down to earth. They aren't afraid to talk about their real life encounters! Love these girls. Wish they did more than one a week!

Seriously my favorite podcast. It is always hilarious and aside from the content I really like listening to both of their voices.

I saw Nikki Glaser on Red Eye on Fox News one night and thought she was great. She mentioned her podcast and I decided to check it out. I downloaded a couple episodes to try it out. Absolutely hilarious, I'll listen in the car and start laughing so hard sometimes I almost need to pull over. I am about halfway through their catalogue of episodes and each one brings something new and funny. Download now, you won't be disappointed.

Love it. Many times, hilarious. Other times, they're super-honest and revealing with their shame and ups & downs of life. Ep 15 with Kristen Schaal about squirting is unbelievable & hilarious.

Listening to this podcast almost since it started has been so cool because Nikki and Sara have been getting to know each other over time as have the listeners. I really feel like I'm getting a glimpse into the lives of two fantastic, intelligent, hilarious, insightful, introspective people rather than listening to a couple of comedians putting on a show. The chemistry between the two of them is flawless. I have been turned on to so many good comedians/performers/writers who have been guests on their show. So freaking good.

Sarah and Nikki are funny, thoughtful, interesting, and not afraid to broach any topic, no matter how esoteric or vulgar. And don't say "they're funny, for a girl"; these women are funny by any standard.

K so I think I've heard every episode now at least twice…Shock G episode is so incredible. Also, Broad City & Jacqueline Novak- hilair eps. Miss the musical guests though on the more recent episodes. Sara & Nikki should bring that back! Seriously though, can't say enough good things about these women. They mah heroes :)

I started listening about three months ago and immediately became obsessed. I've listened to almost every episode now and I am so excited when a new one is posted. Sara and Nikki have really great chemistry - it feels like they were friends for years before they started the podcast. They have a great rapport with their guests and aren't stuck on a pure interview format, which opens the show up to all topics.

I love this podcast. Nikki and Sara do a great job of being engaging, interesting, funny, and real. That's a hard thing to pull off week to week, but my favorite thing about the show is being introduced to new funny people that aren't necessarily "household names." Can't recommend it enough!

Not much structure to the show they kind of all just shoot the breeze for 45 minutes. But I can't stop listening. So funny and just great.

This podcast is always fun to listen to, because when the two hosts aren't being funny, they're being very genuine and personal. They always tell interesting stories, and Sara Schaefer very nicely plays the wise, settled-down older sister/advice giver role to Nikki Glaser's role as the wild(er) child.

i love this podcast! this podcast makes me feel as if i am apart of their group. i feel as if nikki and sara are my BFFs. it makes me miss my friends and i love their honest conversations with each other and with their guests. thanks guys for all the laughs! i totally recommend it for people who love to laugh and to learn. =)

Listening to these young ladies get to know each other over the course of the podcast has been revealing and funny. Sara and Nikki are very good at playing off of each other, and bring interesting stories and comic gold to the table every hour they're on the air. The relaxed nature of their roundtables leads to hilarious stories, asides, and one-off jokes that typically catch you by surprise. I can't wait to hear what they'll do next!

I love love love this podcast. I've fallen deeply in love with Sara and Nikki. Very honest, very funny. The best guests.. I don't really know anything about comedy, and actually kind of hated stand-up comedy before this podcast, but I am a total convert. Everyone should subscribe to this.
