This was one of my all-time favorite podcasts. It’s one of the firsts podcasts I got really into and continued to listen through the years. So sad it’s over☹️. I’ll miss the conversations, observations and laughs. Thanks so much for making me laugh and think.

As someone who lived in the Bay Area for seven years, their voices and insight brought me so much nostalgia. Yes they are basically friends in my head. I appreciate their commentary on pop culture that blends humor with societal insight. Every time their episodes come out, my day gets a little brighter.

40 min a month???! With today’s technology, even if miles apart, that’s all you are willing to do?! Abbie Cornish can conduct an interview with anyone in the most remote parts of the world for the sake of news reporting but all you guys can do is 40 min a month?!?! That’s very disappointing.

For so long, I had been looking for a thoughtful pop culture podcast that was fun, yet covered topics with depth (serious and/or comedic). I’m so happy that I discovered The Cooler a couple of years ago, and I love the topics that the wonderful hosts cover. For me, I’ve been thrilled to hear the original ideas that are covered, and also the revisits of important events from years past that may not have been covered much, at least for our generation. I’ve listened to every episode and have about a dozen saved that I re-listen to every few months... this podcast is that fabulous! Thank you, Jamedra, Emmanuel, Carly, and KQED, for this gem of a podcast.

Me and two of my best buds listen to your podcast all the time and we’ve determined which of the three hosts most mirrors our personalities. The three of us agree that I’m a total Carly. This became especially evident on one episode where Emmanuel made a joke about the Rachel Ray/Rachel Roy mix-up among some Beyoncé fans. When Carly was cracking up, so was I. Good show!

Smart, young hosts with excellent and hilarious social commentary. They are local and have taken local requests/ suggestions for show topics. Occasionally there is a history lesson/ recap and these are amazing gems. This podcast is intellegent, funny, and accessible. I am so glad I found it and can not get enough of it. Unplayed episodes never sit in my que for more than 24 hours.

I love this podcast! The perfect mix of fun and serious, playful and culturally relevant. The hosts are fantastic and make my Thursday AM commute so much more entertaining! Thank you!

..The dynamic between the hosts, their comedic timing and beautiful interviews are the BOMB. You really can tell how dedicated and talented all the hosts are, this podcast is so well done! If you are looking to keep up with current pop culture events and feel like one of the friends then give it a listen!

Who doesn't enjoy a good chat, a lot of laughter, and a little enlightenment? Kept bumping into this Podcast on NPR 1 -- always woke me from my sleep cycle as my inactive brain tuned in. Had no choice but to subscribe. Hope you do too.

I never bother to write reviews but I felt compelled because I love this podcast so much! The Cooler manages to cover a lot of important topics while still being fun, and I am always excited when a new episode comes out. I am usually sitting at my desk, laughing out loud listening to this podcast, leaving my co-workers wondering what the hell is wrong with me, but I don’t care. I love it!

These guys help me get through the work day. Love their take on just about everything (except when it comes to Emmanuel’s love for Taylor Swift). Awesome show!

Discovered this podcast bc i am a huge fan of Emmanuel’s Poldark recaps! (And his other Masterpiece recaps as well). They always have me laughing so i had to check out the Cooler. I­t­ does not disappoint! The three hosts are lots of fun, wish i could hang with them too!

I’ve been on board since the beginning and I love getting their different point of views on topics, while laughing at well crafted jokes, and getting lost in thought-provoking stories. SO much fun to listen to!

Consistently one of the best podcasts I listen to each week. The hosts have great chemistry, their topics are fun & interesting, and its just an overall enjoyable podcast. You can tell they have fun but also work hard to make a quality podcast. Love it!

I absolutely ADORE this podcast. All three hosts are phenomenal people that have hilarious insight. I honestly laugh out loud at least once every episode.

My week is always improved by the podcast. The topics are pop or pop-adjacent and yet, often things you didn't know. I also love the fact that they talk about racism, sexism, homophobia in a genuine, but often humorous way.

I think this podcast would appeal to a lot of people but it doesn't hurt if you are a 30 something living in the Bay Area, which I am. I identify with Carly the most because we apparently have the exact same taste in cult classic movies and t.v. Jamedra and Emmanuel are equally as delightful, I adore this podcast trio. Thank you The Cooler podcast for being truly outrageous.

I'm so glad NPR is letting young people do their thing without interference. Interference is what is killing the spark of the younger generation. Creating a platform that truly reflects what our community stands for is integral to the progress of our nation.

This is such a fun and intelligent podcast! I'm usually wary of podcasts where it's mostly people sitting around talking, but this is so much more than that. It's three funny, intelligent, witty, clever people sharing insights, being vulnerable, and generally making me happy. They also have great interviews that make me feel hip even though I'm so not. (My life is richer for being introduced to Bob the Drag Queen, for instance.) Keep up the good work!

Every single episode is ON POINT. Snarky, sassy, informed, and eloquent. Absolutely loved the "Let's Talk About Race, Baby" episode with brilliant guest Joshua Johnson of "So Well Spoken". I grew up in the Bay Area & returned to live there as an adult but being a Bay Area kid isn't really necessary to truly enjoy "The Cooler"...it really just adds an extra layer of nostalgia.
