NeodanaLove the show ! !Thanks so much for your review of Space 1999 ! I was also very into Star Trek TOS in reruns. I used to make audio recordings of every episodes before VCR’s . I really loved Space 1999 when it was released in the mid 70’s but lived in a rural area where I couldn’t get the station out of Boston that aired the show. My grandmother lived in another town that carried the station so I saw the pilot Breakaway first and loved it. I was also able to see Guardian of Piri, Force of Life and Alpha Child. I never saw any other episodes at the time. Fast forward to 1990 and I scored the 4 VHS releases which I then saw Earthbound, Matter of Life and Death and Voyagers Return. I was also able to see Guardian of Piri again. Then in 1991 the series was released on Laser Disc. I purchased both seasons and a Laser Disc player. Being able to finally see the entire 1st season was such a pleasure. Season 2 was a disappointment if I’m being honest. Over the years the VHS release and the DVD’s got better. The Blu Ray is the ultimate and I still watch it when I can. I wish season two had continued with the same characters in season one but as we know it did not. Love the podcast

ErikStrieterI'm sure it'll be as bad as the rest.Who am I kidding? The whole FrogPants group ALWAYS bring their A game and this will be none the less. Thank you STEVE (and everyone else) for being AWESOME!!!! Updated some 6yrs later: What happen? Why stop what was an awesome idea with a great podcast to go with it? Is you plate overflowing and the decision was made to push this to the side and forget it?

Nebbo63Nostalgia Time!I love this show and just wish there were more episodes or longer seasons. That said, I know I can listen to their other podcasts, but this one is truly unique. It's right up there with Film Sack for pure roundtable media discussion awesomeness.

Paladin2000Has This Podfaded? For the most part, a good look back at those pilot episodes that started it all. My biggest quibble is that the hosts sometimes make statements about these shows without any real knowledge about them. A little research goes a long way. Also, is this all there is or are we going to hear anymore? A brief update would be appreciated for loyal listeners.

Friendly & HelpyFun, Interesting, & InformativeGood audio quality, too.

Zirconus Of MalfurionLove it... NOW!This is a great show with 2 knowledgable hosts who work quite well together. I wish it were longer and that they went a little deeper into the subjects but otherwise wonderful!
-
PhathomAnything with Tom and Scoot is good. Will keep watching, awesome!
-
KnittyChicGreat content with a ton of personalityThey deliver all the goods. Interesting stories about behind the scenes and the biz. I love TV especially old TV, so this podcast is a commuting fav for me.
-
whodonit2uall it takes is one episode!I stumbled across this wonderful podcast as a result of the TWiT network, and have been hooked ever since. If you have even a passing interest in pop culture, you will thoroughly enjoy what Tom & Scott have to offer. Moreover, if you just like to laugh and think, do yourself a HUGE favor and listen to at least one episode.
-
App AppyGreat show... More, MoreGreat first episode for season 2 My only request is to make them a bit longer. We know you have more to say and we want to hear it!

Friendly Advice GuyPlease stop reviewing new pilotsThere's no point. The show had this nostalgic feel at the beginning, with the theme music and everything. Had a great vibe. Now someone convinced them they had to "get with the kids nowadays" and review new shows and ignore everything from the 70s and 80s. Totally ruins the show. The hosts need to stay in their era. That worked.

GameByNightJust not relevantI enjoy most of these two podcasters work. They're talented, funny, the works. Unfortunately, this show just does not have the mass appeal you would hope for from such talented individuals. If you're under 35, you will likely receive nothing from this show but discussions on television pilots than only a minutea of listeners will ever have even heard of. If they start working in more modern programs, such as they've done with Episode 3, or simply shows within the last 20 years, I'll update the review. So long as it remains an exercise solely in nostalgia, I just can't recommend it.

Mr DollStupendous, Fantastic, InspiredAmazing how such a new podcast has made it into my top three. I guess I have to contribute it to three things, Tom's unmatched professionalism, chemistry of the hosts, and it's remarkable content. Why has no one else done this before, I don't know. An A+ show, I can't wait for the video version.

welshie0125Perfect concept, Perfect HostsThis podcast is fantastic! I love the concept of reviewing old and new pilot episodes! Not only is it nostalgic and fun to have a look back at well loved TV. I like to know about how theses classics got off the launch pad. I also love the extra details on cuts, edits and original concepts that did or did not fly. Hosts Tom and Scott hit it out of the park, with their humor and wit. I am a big fan of both hosts and their many other podcast efforts on TWIT.TV and Frogpants. Keep up the great work and don't keep me waiting too long to hear the review of my all time favorite...the A-Team.

jdwonlineAutopilot AwesomenessScott and Tom take us back to the beginning...of our favorite TV shows. If you listen to just one Frogpants Studios Podcast, make it Filmsack...but you'll be missing out on all the other awsomeness they have to offer, so listen to more, like AutoPilot.
-
SeagraveDLove AutoPilotI love this one .. as expected of a podcast by Scott Johnson and Tom Merritt! Great hosts + an interesting subject = can't miss podcast!
-
TrumppollFun podcast about TV showsListening to Scott and Tom talk about TV pilots is enjoyable. The 2 hosts have great chemistry and really seem to enjoy the subject they are discussing.
-
FunkyducksterGreat show--love the premise!Scott and Tom are the "Cagney and Lacy" of podcasters except neither are middle-aged ladies, detectives nor (I assume) does Tom wear a dress. This show brings great enjoyment to the Internet in the same way the aforementioned crime drama popularized pantsuits for everyday folk.
-
W PatrickGreatGreat podcast! It's also a great idea for a podcast. Tom and Scott are the best.
-
LoneSparAwesome!!!!!!!!!!!I am a fan of Scott Johnson from Film Sack, so i had to try out this show. It Is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! Just the First 2 I have listened to has me Hooked!!! Awesome Show!!! Keep it up!!!!
-
awestruckediting"Love the show though..."You don't even have to care about the show to appreciate the commentary.
-
Oddo on a poptartFantastical!!!!I wish Scott and Tom could invest my money in the stock-market, because everything they touch turns to instant gold!!!!!
-
GameczarFPS has done it again!I have no idea where you buy "frog pants" nor how you get them on the frog. But the stuff that comes out of them is PURE GOLD! I am pleased that “AutoPilot!” has its own personality, so it is a compliment to “FilmSack” rather than a clone. Scott and Tom have a good rhythm and the show flows nicely. Tom, thank you for the “Walter Brennan” impression, I about fell out of my chair.
-
McbrutalftwAnother awesome oneScott is the blizzard of podcasts. Making one perfect gem after another.
-
Destroyer kittenShow Pilot Analysis Fantastique! Two of my mostest favorite podcast personalities join forces again to give me some unique entertainment! Another way to bring intelligent happiness to your day. I highly recommend this. Make sure to check out Tom and Scott's other shows for more of the fun. I loved the way Spock smiled and laughed at the singing plant leaves in the first part of The Cage.
-
iPhone snobPure awesomenessAnother great podcast idea from the mind of Scott (Steve?) Johnson. You should not be surprised.
-
GrammerPrimeAutoPilot PilotGreat first episode, Scott and Tom! Oh, wait… It's actually episode number two… Wait… But the first episode was actually number 0… So does that mean, wait… The pilot episode of AutoPilot is actually the second episode, but it's listed as number one…. Number one? Isn't that Majel Barrett? Is that her actual name? Wait, Riker was number one also, but that's because he was the first officer… My brain hurts…. Great show though!! Love you guys!
-
DavidLTJrWinner!Listened to the pilot of Autopilot this morning and loved it. Great insight about the beginnings of TV shows. Scott Johnson and Tom Merrit have quickly become my favorite podcasting personalities, and the two of them together are a guaranteed win. I am starting to think that these two could host a podcast about reading the phonebook, and they would find a way to make it entertaining. Looking forward to more episodes and a hopefully very long run.
-
kskryptonianExcellent Pilot of a show about PilotsScott and Tom are currently geeks and very good at analyzing pilots of shows and their impact on the series they spawned. Highly recommended for Film Sack fans.
-
MichaelOwenDavisGreat Start! Great Team!Great start for a great team. The first Frogpants show I ever listened to was Current Geek. I can get my fill of CG on The Morning Stream going forward. Now Scott & Tom can delve deep into the world of TV! Love it. Great episode length as well. Thanks.
-
Doc VapeWhere you inspired by my Knight Rider tweet?I sent you a tweet saying the first episode of knight rider was so god awful you have to sack it. They got a Hoff impersonator playing the Hoff till he gets shot in the face and becomes THE HOFF. Then it really goes down hill
-
BoodongGeniusLove the idea. Can't wait to see it!
-
dwtirePilot of the pilotsSo it's the pilot about the pilots, looking forward to the insight into some real classics. Sounds like fun.
-
