Redbird525PLEASE Bring this BackI recently found this podcast after listening to these two on an old episode of Never Seen It, and they are INCREDIBLE!! The games are hilarious! The commentary is fantastic! The passion for video games and the relationship between the two hosts is perfect! It would be amazing to see more episodes of this podcast since I found it after it ended. (Also, 56 for the win.) Update: After years of re-listening to every episode, this is still my favorite show. I hope the hosts are doing well, and if they ever do a live show, I’d be there.

Outlaw KiteMiss this podcastGreat podcast, it’s been a while since it ended but I still come back to revisit. Highly recommended to gamers and just people who like some funny jokes but at the same time just revisit old games you might have never known existed or just forgot.
-
Abandoned dawgMiss this podcastI hope everyone involved in creating this podcast is crushin it right now. I listened recently and it is a time capsule that has got me missing these cool people talking about video games with great guests. They’re hilarious and fun
-
Poetic-ScienceYou remind me why I will always love this, love love love itYou let me mentally revisit games I haven’t played in a long time, and you make me laugh. That kind of combination is something I’ve never felt before, and it’s amazing. Keep it up!

AlliwantaredogsFavorite PodcastI loved listening when I get up for work in the morning or anytime I need to say awake. These guys are super funny, bright and thoughtful. The games they make up are hilarious and they turned me on to some great games. I’m so sad to see it end but I understand. Thanks for all the memories! Will definitely be listening to old episodes

L-is-for-the-way-you-lookThanks for the memoriesHonestly, I just listened to the “End of an Era” episode, and it genuinely made me feel sad—and not the “Oh, my day is slightly less great” type of sad. But, I was also grateful. Do you even realize how many “Quarantine” episodes I listened to during this past crazy year? Enough that even I think that I may be unstable... but I loved them, and I loved the video game episodes. Keith and Jesse really seemed to view video games from my perspective, meaning they saw video games as works of art, as well as places were memories happen. I could probably write a lot more, but I am currently at work and probably should not 😅. Thank you, Keith and Jesse, for a great podcast. I’m not sure what you end up doing in the future (and I don’t care if it is in the entertainment industry or not), but I hope you find somewhere that makes you happy. Best of luck with everything, and I’ll sure miss hearing from you.

ConyoudigitANYTHINGThis is hands down one of the best podcasts that there is or will ever be, Period. The hosts are funny and real and connect with me in a personal level. If you’re looking for a podcast full of heart, comedy, pickles, games that make no senses, and the number 56, the ho boy is this the show for you!!

TattooedalchemistWhy you leaveWhat am I going to do now. This podcast is the only thing I can blow my load to! I have tried Rogan but that doesn’t even register on my needle. If you know what I am saying. Peace to you brothers! I have listened from episode one. Thank you!
-
Kagura JavierWhat happened?Listen to the episodes before the quarantine ones; they are some of the best things to hit my ears. Anything after that.....oooof good luck. More video games less whatever it is now. Good luck

Aylöfft electric oliveIdea PartyLoving the daily shows during quarantine. Quizzes and games these guys play are fun and inventive. As a fan of vintage gaming and because I’m playing a bunch of these during my quarantine, I would love to hear a special about Marty Party! From blisters on my palms in the N64 days to the golden years of the game cube 4-7 Mario Party iterations I have enjoyed these games in drinking party celebrations and baby sitting all nighters. Please guys, could you have a Mario Party special? You guys should apply to G4 on YouTube I’d watch a show where you review writing in video games a such

SEA-POHVideo games & the conversations we needAmazing Podcast. Keith and Jesse are fun, entertaining, open, and sometimes brutally honest. Keep up the good work.

PandazoicI used to love this podcastBefore the covid this used to be my favorite podcast. They were funny, interesting, did their research into the games, stuck to the topic and strengths of their podcast, and were just simply amazing. I agree with most all of their views, but after 166 quarantine episodes they’ve failed to do nothing but complain and never talk about games; the point of the podcast! They don’t have any real political expertise, insights, or experience in the news articles they discuss and have completely abandoned what made this podcast so special.
-
Ginger5000Ginger Here!I’m glad they have electricity when they talk!
-
Zaymann101They lose me with every quarantine episodeUse to be my favorite gaming podcast now it’s just WOKE far left dude podcast featuring gaming. Which is fine if that’s the direction they want. I wish them well and hope they get back to the source of what made there early material great.

tstempert90% politics, 10% games if thatWelcome to New Player has joined. A podcast NOT about video games and disappointing those that love them. These guys used to be great. So unique and funny. Seemed like super positive people. As of the last year this podcast changed from video games to mostly politics. And by that I mean furiously ranting about orange man, how everyone is racist and nazi’s, and how much they hate rich people. I tried to get through some of the political stuff to get to the games content but it’s all SO negative and literally has become depressing. I can’t even listen anymore. Quarantine REALLY got to these guys. They make it seem like they don’t even go outside. Can’t you just go for a hike or to a park where no one is around you? Take off your mask when the closest person is like a half mile away? I’m seriously worried for them and I’m not even kidding. I love these guys. The games they used to create and play with their guests and each was so awesome and had me laughing out loud. Now it seems that one of the hosts doesn’t even want to do the podcast and is not into it at all. Normally I wouldn’t write a review like this and I understand people go through different seasons of their lives but they should either start a separate podcast just about politics or stick to games on this one.

Terry DowdyTop-NotchCame for the video games, but stayed for the comedy. The best, and funniest gaming podcast out there!
-
gurden froomunAmazing podcastThis is one of my favorite podcasts I have ever listened to. Can you do a Team Fortress 2 episode? I would love to listen to it, it’s one of my favourite games. I would like to guest on the show but I know I can’t. Love the show!
-
coffeeprincessIt’s...whateverThis podcast has definitely been a bright spot on a crazy year where I just needed someone to confirm that I’m not crazy. And they sometimes talk about video games.
-
WiggijeNot just a podcast about video gamesI REALLY want to give this podcast 5 stars, but ever since the shut down it started to become more of a political/informative podcast(which I’m ok with). I love hearing others experiences and views but the way it’s discussed makes me feel uncomfortable and attacked it’s almost very one sided. Now it talks about a game for 15 minutes and then their views on politics for the next 30 minutes. If you want to listen I suggest start from the beginning (it’s good) and stop where they have quarantine podcasts. Once there it’s your choice to stick around or not. I’m staying because I’ve listened since day one, with the hope that the 2 men I thought were hilarious and helped me escape from a dark place come back to talk about one of the things I hold dear to my heart.
-
steezysteve777Don’f Talk Much About Games or GamibfMost of every episode I’ve listened to is spent talking about politics, the social climate and their personal lives, really not much about games at all. I am aligned with most of their beliefs, but I’m looking for a podcast discussing games and gaming. If you’re looking for that too, this is not for you.
-
ShslphantomSimply the BestThis is absolutely my favorite political podcast. They talk about video games a lot, but I understand that everyone needs a distraction from the insanity that is real life. In all seriousness, this is one of the best podcasts out there. I recommend it to every single person I talk to in my daily life. If you like video games, please listen to New Player Has Joined.
-
Robbo.WMy favorite pair of humansThis show is fantastic and vibes with me as a human. Quarantine episodes: I’ve always looked around social situations and wondered what is this. These guys just see what the world is and how people are just crappy because they have no awareness outside of themselves. Totally my vibe of realness. Gaming episodes: Hilarious guest and a deep look into games. They also make games for each other at the end of the episodes so each game review episode is special.

NovalkSI continue to love with Keith and JessieThis podcast needs to be more famous than it is. And to all the 1star/no star racist POSs. Go get covid.
-
Panda McThunderWhateverI specifically got apple podcasts so I could rate 5 stars. I am a big baby when it comes to politics so I have to stop and go when it comes to listening (even tho I 100% agree with y’all ) I think it’s important you guys talk about what’s on your mind and how you feel with the world literally burning around you. Keep up the good work and when I’m no longer a big baby I will continue to listen to you in hopes of bettering myself.
-
Fud4winsLight on gaming, heavy with complainingNot much to see here but a lot of whining and attacking anyone who may not share their beliefs. Particularly disinterested in hearing the host threaten others with bodily harm.

ClintStautRe-Downloaded Apple Podcasts For This ReviewI don’t use Apple Podcasts anymore but I re-downloaded it just to leave this review. Lately I’ve been using Spotify for my podcasts. If you don’t know already, Spotify is basically the Netflix of music. For $10 a month you can have access to music from all your favorite (and not-so-favorite) artists. When I found out Spotify added podcasts to their service, I decided to switch to them for my podcasts so everything was in the same place and I no longer had to download my episodes. Now I listen to New Player Has Joined on Spotify and it’s a blast!

anotherSKyrimPlatInumWhatever...but seriously it’s greatFirst off, thank you for mentioning Native Americans when you talk about the injustices in America. Thank you. Everyone forgets about us. As a Native American teenage girl, thank you. Keep doing what your doing. | I found the podcast year when I wanted to know if their was any gaming podcast and I came across this little anime mega man and link cover and I was hooked to your podcast immediately. I love that you have old videos in your archives, things that I played as a kid. I’m a Gen Z, but I lived a millennial’s childhood, because all my siblings are near or in their 30s. My first console was a original N64 and a original PlayStation. It was hard for to have a video game connection with other kids my age, I’d talk about Final Fantasy and they were into angry birds or whatever. I played Metal Gear, FF8, the original GTA, and other games before I was 9. I’m into modern games now but growing up I had a lot of video game literacy. In short, I’m the weird kid who mental age is that of a 30 yr old. I don’t hate millennials unlike the ppl my age on reddit. You said, if we the listeners wrote our life story, you’d read it. Thank you millennial, who is reading this. Cuz a Gen Z sure as hell, ain’t reading this.

Patty LucasNPP rocks!My favorite podcast!

hunterhoneybeee1201Not boringFeels like I’m talking to some buddies. Maybe should be a little gayer. Love them tho.
-
IRSCHAMOne of the hardest things to listen toIf it weren’t for the guests or video games, I probably would have never listen to this podcast. They barely talk about videos games now despite it being the premise of their show. Very cringe-y forced laughter at each other for saying very uncomfortable things. I honestly feel sorry for these guys.

QMZPSKTVA must if your love video games!Whatever 😜
-
Sampson88Great podI’m a soy boi and I approve this podcast. But seriously, the video game episodes are funny and wholesome and great. The political rant episodes are a much needed cathartic expression in a time when we all need to just yell and scream at our insane reality. Love these guys and this podcast. 3 stars.
